How can I cancel my plan?

If you are cancelling your plan for affordability reasons or because you need a different type of plan please speak to your Financial Advisor or call us on 01 704 1010. There may be other options available for you. If you would still like to cancel your plan please read the details below.

If your plan is just in your name - you can cancel your plan over the phone by calling 01 704 1010.

If your plan is in two names - you will need to write to us saying you want to cancel the plan and this will need to be signed by both people named on the plan.  You can send this to us in any of the ways below.

  • Post it to Irish Life, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1.
  • Scan and email it to
  • If you have a smart phone you can take a clear picture of your signed request and email it to
  • Fax it to 01 242 2931.

If your plan is assigned to a bank (or other financial institution) - you will need to send us the cancellation instruction as we've described above. We will also need what is called a Deed of Release or a Letter of No Further Interest from the bank. You can ask your bank to send this directly to us. We will also ask them for this when you ask us to cancel the plan.
