How do I make a life insurance claim?

We know the time after somebody dies is very difficult for their family and friends who are left behind. The process of making a life insurance claim can seem very daunting at such a difficult time and we want to make this process as easy as possible for you.

How do I make a claim?

  • Please call us on 01 704 1010.
  • We will arrange for one of our claims assessors to call you.

If you have the information below to hand it will help us to review the claim as quickly as we can:

  • The name of the person who has died.
  • The date of birth of the person who has died.
  • The date the person died.
  • The Irish Life plan number - this will be on any of the letters we sent about the plan.
  • For the person who is claiming, they will need to give their relationship to the person who has died.
  • The name, address and phone number of the person we can speak to about the claim.

How do I make a claim?

  • Please call us on 01 704 1010 with your plan details.
  • We will arrange for one of our claims team to call you.
  • If the condition you are claiming for is covered under the plan, we will then send you a claim form.
  • Return the claim form to us and your dedicated claims assessor will call you to discuss your claim and any other information we may need.
